No direction home

Got this email from a muso mate today:

"There's just been a TV report that Bob Dylan has been approached by a GPS manufacturer to consider being the voice of their sat nav system. They had a snippet of Bobby commenting on his radio show which went something like "Imagine my voice saying, "Turn right at the next street ... no, left ... better still, why not go straight?"

Or, perhaps they will build on the concept and extend it out to all the genres of pop culture, so that before you leave home, you can pre-programme the emotional and aesthetic return route you have in mind.

So, if you're heading on out for a bit of lay-lady-lay, you can select the Bob Dylan version of your 'direction home'.

If you take into account the whole Dylan backlist - there's no need for him to record anything - it's already there!

I'm looking for Dylan directions here -

I bags the start up statement, when you turn the GPS on and try to find the ignition...

Where have you been my blue eyed son?
