By my calculations they should hatch around about the same time as we celebrate the birth of that little Middle Eastern kiddy. I wonder if Nana will be as amazed by her own immaculate conceptions? Low tech incubator

Silkies are awesome for hatching eggs. Nice colouring too
ReplyDeleteAnd if you want a good foster family I hear there's this lovely family in Tassie with three kids and busy career wife and house husband!!!
ReplyDeleteSilkies are the best mothers and incubators. I think they go into a sort of trance when they are broody. I lift my silkies of the nest when I collect the eggs and I put them outside the coop (so they have some water and feed)and it takes a couple of minutes before they snap out of their trance - then they run around like crazy.
