That time of the Monthly

If you live under a rock, you may have missed the recent Germaine Greer ruckus sparked by Louis Nowra's less than complimentary rant about the 40 year anniversary of her Female Eunich in the recent issue of the Monthly in which he manages to become all the things he accuses her of.
So, go make a coffee and come back to be amused by Helen Razer's hilarious Vajazzling of Nowra and follow the links.

  1. That phrase does conjure up rather a ghastly picture of equal rights for males with the vajazzler, Hughesy.
I don't think I'll ever be able to look at Louis Nowra again without that image springing to mind.

I was wondering the other day what happened to Helen Razer, me having feld the country ten years ago Im out of the loop of course, but thanks for that link, what a brilliant reintroduction.

Havent gone to read the original Germanine Greer Is Ugly piece...I'm already cranky enough at having been cooped up in the house with children for two days trapped by snow again. My head might explode. Might wait til next week.

  4. I haven't read it yet either. Can't say I'm up for spending seven bucks to see a spit about ugly old women who refuse to shop or shut up - I might end up taking it personally and have to kill him.

  8. Thanks for pointing me to the Helen Razer article. Nowra's hateful comments about his own mother probably explain a lot (my psychology professor used to say that that discipline would lead you to the truth faster than philosophy). I can scan and email you the Nowra article, if you feel like being sick!
