Prophet of doom

This is kind of scary.
Check out the guys haranging the nay-sayer. Can't imagine buying a used car from any of them, but I'm fond of the Monty Python shifty gaze of the 'prophet of doom'.

  2. Yeah, but he's the only one who could see what has now come to pass - the great financial boo boo! The used car salesmen spend a lot of time trying to shoot him down, but he won't budge. Wonder if he's now in Obama''s inner sanctum?

  3. Yeah - Schiff was bang on. I just hope that his future predictions aren't right!

  4. Hind sight the only 20/20 vision, that said he was dead on. I wonder if they'd listened whether it'd have made a difference?

  6. Satyajit Das pops up on Late Night Live now. He and Steve Keen were interviewed on the night the stuff hit the fan.
Keen was at Politics in the Pub months before talking as he had for sometime previously about the impending debt crisis.
One wonders how much of their paper wealth these supposed American gurus retain. More importantly if they are still given the time to spread their economic unconciousness.
Does it prove that snake oil sellers as an American tradition have simply been transformed into an intelligensia?

  7. It was the vehemence of the guys shouting him down that I found most disturbing. The incoherent faith in the market to sort itself out.

  8. Ah, Annette, I revel in such foolishness. Surely, in your isolated, rarified place, you do the same. If not, I have sorely misjudged you.

When all is said and done, sublime transcendence is all that matters.
